Mbappé's mother denies claims Real Madrid target has agreed PSG contract
Le Parisien has reported that Kylian Mbappé has agreed in principle to extend his contract at Paris Saint-Germain, but his mother says her son has not reached a deal with any club.
Kylian Mbappé's mother has denied a report in the French media that the Real Madrid target is poised to extend his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
“No agreement in principle with PSG” - Mbappé mother
“There is no agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain (or any other club),” Fayza Lamari tweeted on Thursday.
“Talks over Kylian’s future continue in a climate of great calm, to allow him to make the best decision for all parties involved.”
Le Parisien has claimed that Mbappé, 23, has agreed in principle to commit his future to PSG, a club he joined from Monaco in 2017.
According to the newspaper, the France international would receive an annual after-tax salary of 50m euros in exchange for staying with the Ligue 1 champions, in addition to a 100m-euro signing-on bonus.
Mbappé among potential summer arrivals at Real Madrid
Mbappé, who is out of contract at PSG at the end of the season, is being widely tipped to join Madrid on a summer free transfer.
Los Blancos have made the World Cup winner their chief transfer target, and in summer 2021 failed with a series of bids for him - the highest of which was 200m euros.
He is not the only Ligue 1 star who could move to the Bernabéu ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, as Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouaméni is another player on Madrid’s summer shopping list.
The Spanish league winners, who will face Liverpool in May’s Champions League final after Wednesday’s dramatic semi-final win over Manchester City, are also in pole position to snap up Chelsea defender Antonio Rüdiger on a free transfer.
