Mbappé's mother diffuses Neymar feud: “Things are managed internally”
Fayza Lamari, Kylian Mbappé’s spoke to Kora Plus about the controversy that has arisen in recent days with Neymar.
The dispute between Mbappé and Neymar has been the centre of attention in France in recent days but it’s all been settled now, Le Parisien reported on Sunday. To such an extent that Fayza Lamari, Kylian’s mother, took the opportunity to clear up the matter once and for all in an interview with Kora Plus. She explained that personal issues are tackled privately and that everything is back to normal between the two PSG stars.
“Things are managed internally at Paris Saint Germain, everything is going well,” assured Lamari, who did not want to answer any more questions when asked about the clash between her son and Neymar. The relationship between the two has been going through a deep crisis and even Brazilian media acknowledge that Mbappé is “isolated” in the locker room. Much of that is down to the power struggles and damaged egos within the squad after PSG renewed Kylian’s contract in May.
On Sunday, Luis Campos met with Mbappé and Neymar to warn them that internal problems are handled in private and not in front of the cameras. The Portuguese coach blamed the French striker for his attitude in Saturday’s game against Montpellier, and advised him to focus on sports and leave tantrums in the background.
