Messi and Inter Miami stars hit the Miami Grand Prix after embarrassing defeat
Just a few hours after letting a three-goal lead slip away against Orlando City, Herons players went to let their hair down at the Miami GP.
Just hours after one of the roughest results in Inter Miami’s history, several of the team’s biggest names were spotted shaking off the disappointment at the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, which takes place this Sunday in South Florida.
Lionel Messi drew the biggest crowd as he arrived at the Miami GP, walking through the paddock with his family in tow. Fans and cameras followed closely as the Argentine star made his way around the track area.
Also seen at the Fort Lauderdale circuit were midfielder Tadeo Allende and goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair, both captured arriving ahead of the weekend’s events.
Luis Suárez makes time for fans
Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez also made an appearance — and unlike some of his teammates, he stopped to take photos with fans who approached him. His brief meet‑and‑greet quickly drew a crowd.
As Messi continued through the paddock, he greeted several drivers preparing for the race. At one point, he even climbed into one of Mercedes’ Formula 1 cars, getting an up‑close look at the machine that will hit the track during Sunday’s competition.
Saturday’s defeat sees Inter Miami slip to third in the Eastern Conference. The team are back in action on Saturday, as guests of seventh-placed Toronto.
