Erick Gutiérrez wants more playing time with the FIFA World Cup seven months away and he is aware that at PSV Eindhoven he won’t see the minutes he desires. This season the 26-year-old has only made five league appearances, all of them as a starter, and scored one goal.

Gutiérrez could become a Cottager

The Mexican international wants out in the summer and according to the Daily Mail, Fulham is keen on signing him. Gutiérrez is under contract until 2023 with the Eredivisie side, but the people in charge would accept the offer before it expires.

The report claims that Fulham’s manager, Marco Silva, has requested the signing of the Mexican international if the team returns to the Premier League next season. Erick Gutiérrez would be a good addition to the midfield rotation and strengthen the team to compete in England’s top tier.

The Cottagers have suffered two consecutive defeats in the Championship, but they remain in first place in the standings with 83 points. There are three games left of the regular season and they are the top candidate to return to the Premier League next campaign.
