Barcelona defender Julián Araujo is set for a loan move to newly promoted La Liga side Las Palmas.
Xavi Hernández has decided that the Mexican right-back is not part of his plans for the upcoming season and the option of Las Palmas has emerged.
Las Palmas boss García Pimienta previously coached Barça B before taking charge of the side from Gran Canaria, and Araujo gets on well with the 48-year-old coach.

Interested in Fresneda
Barcelona are working on signing a new right-back, with Real Valladolid’s highly-rated defender Iván Fresneda amongst the possible options. The club’s sporting director, Deco, has met with the 18-year-old’s representatives over a move to the Catalan club.
