Mexico 1-0 Peru: score, goals, highlights, international friendly

Mexico 1-0 Peru: score, goals, highlights, international friendly

Mexico will take the W today, but Tata Martino's men were not the better side. El Tri played a really poor game with no real idea of how they wanted to play the match. A lonesome goal by Hirving Lozano made the difference. The Napoli player scored in the 82nd minute, almost by luck. Mexico will need to get better and do it very soon. This is a team with no change in rhythm; players like Chavez and Edson Alvarez were subpar at best.

This team clearly lacks a good number nine that can finish the plays being created. But not only that. They need to improve at creating routes for the team to score a goal. It relies too much on its player's individualism and not the collective. This Tri team lacks talent

It is one of the poorest national teams of the last decade.

Peru was the better side throughout the whole match. But in the essence of Peru, they played amazingly, but they still lost like always. Reinoso has his work cut out for him. There is no punch on this team. And they clearly need players to go to other leagues and learn other concepts.

In general a very poor showing by both teams. Peru was definitely the better side today, but they lacked the talent to win.

Let us remember Teofilo Cubillas. One of the best South American players of all time and a Peruvian idol. His goal against Scotland in 1978 was a work of art. Ala Modric before the Croatian even was born

Who is your favorite to win?

Mexico vs Peru is not a strange game to see. Mexico had been a recurrent participant in the Copa America. That was until the Mexican federation negotiated for money for the national team if they were to participate in South American competitions.

We have to remember that the Mexican market is one of the biggest in the world as it covers the Mexican territory and the U.S. But Conmebol said no and they haven’t since participated in Copa America or Libertadores.

Who remember this play?

Only Cuauhtémoc could do this on a World Cup stage

Mexico vs Peru tonight at the Rose Bowl

Welcome folks for an amazing night of fútbol, football, and soccer, however, you want to call it at home. Mexico will face Peru in an interesting, friendly match before the World Cup in Qatar this December.

For Peru, this is a game to start thinking about 2026 since they lost the playoff game against Australia in penalties earlier this year.

For Mexico, things are not looking so great. El Tata Martino has been under fire lately. El Tri has not had the best result lately. Losing 3-0 against Uruguay in one of their latest friendlies. The Argentinian coach has said that he will not be calling up El Chicharito or Carlos Vela for the World Cup, a  decision many have criticized in Mexico, as the team clearly lacks goals.

The game will take place in the United States at the Rose Bowl. A stadium that hosted the 1994 World Cup that saw Brazil win after 24 years another cup.
