Mexico vs Serbia live online: updates, score and highlights | International Friendly
Mexico kickoff the first match of the World Cup against South Africa in just a week’s time but before they focus on that they have a tune up against Serbia.
One of the strangest own goals you'll ever see. Bukinac played it back for Stankovic who was just caught flat footed and after coming up with so many saves the final play of his first half gives Mexico the lead.

The equalizer came from a corner kick. A perfectly place ball from Gutierrez was snapped home with a Vasquez header to level Mexico with Serbia.

Quinones and Gallardo created the most danger from the left side. Gallardo mostly with his balls into the box while Quinones used his magic to test the keeper on multiple occasions in the first 45.

Peter Stanic scored the opening goal on Serbia's first shot of the night. He was on the right side of a bad deflection by Vasquez and slotted it past the keeper in a 1 v 1 situation.

There was no debating who the more dangerous team was in the first half. Mexico came out and looked to attack from the start with their trident of Gutierrez, Jimenez and Quinones. Gutierrez was put in behind the defense but couldn't find the target.

IT'S HALFTIME HERE FROM TOLUCA. WHAT A WAY TO GO INTO HALF AFTER THE OWN GOAL FROM SERBIA.
Mexico played better and might deserve to be up, but the own goal was a gift from the Serbians who took the lead early on.
GOOOOOAAAALLLLL!!!!!
Bukinac sent it back to the keeper from the left side of the area, and it just rolled right past Stankovic and into the back of the net!!! An own goal that looked more on the keeper than it did the defender.
Mexico won't mind. They lead 2-1.
Alvarado sent a hopeful ball into the area, and Jimenez, with his back to the goal, stuck a leg out and was able to put it on frame but it was saved again by Stankovic.
Four minutes of stoppage time here from Toluca.
Jimenez with a ball from inside the 18 to the back post but that fell for no one. Quinones ended up receiving the ball at the top of the area, and he laced a shot that was just inches high of the cross bar.
Fidalgo shown a yellow card after giving away a careless pass and stopped the counter with a pull of the shirt.
Gallardo with another sensational ball into the area and it was just out in front of Jimenez who couldn't get a touch on that ball with his outstretched leg.
Prepare for some substitutes to be introduced at the halftime break. Aguirre has probably seen enough from his first XI tonight as he looks to keep some fresh legs for next week.
Stanic stays down after a challenge from Quinones. He'll be alright, but he just has to take that shot to the back bone off in the middle of the pitch.
Mexico certainly deserved a goal after constantly bombarding the net of Serbia. Serbia has one shot and one goal, while Mexico even things up after their fourth or fifth good chance of the half.
GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!
Short corner played to the edge of the area and it was played in quickly by Gutierrez that skims off the head of Vasquez and into the back of the net!!!
We are all square at 1-1 with 10 minutes to go in the first half.
Gallardo in space down the left side and he played it to a wide open Jimenez towards the spot, and he just whiffed on the one time shot. Another chance that was not finished off. Corner kick to come.
Gallardo plays a ball into the area, and Gutierrez got a touch in the area but it was a stray touch and Serbia clear their lines once again.
Corner kick found the head of Montes who couldn't keep his effort down and that chance goes begging as well.
Quinones runs onto to a ball towards the touchline, but it's knocked out of play for a corner kick.
Let's see how the Mexican team come out of the break knowing they have played the better of the two teams but see themselves down by 1 almost a half hour in.
We are at the cooling break in this first half.
Fidalgo down the left side and he did brilliantly to get past a defender and play a dangerous ball into the six. The ball popped up where Gutierrez laid it off for Quinones who vollied his shot over the cross bar.
Quinones with a fantastic bit of dribbling in the middle of the park and he slipped it through to Jimenez who put a shot on target, but Stankovic got down to ground quickly and made another big save.
You can certainly say that was out of the run of play. It's been all Mexico through the first 20 minutes, but a lucky bounce falls right for Serbia, and it's the home side trailing by a goal.
GOOOOOAAAAALLLLL!!!!!
Out of nothing, it's Stanic who gets a fortunate deflection past the last man who tried to clear his line. Instead it was Stanic who had it bounce right in his path and he tucks it home past Rangel for the game's first goal!
Serbia lead 1-0.
Serbia coach Paunovic just saw a ball roll to him and he shielded off Gallardo from the ball trying to get his guys to take a quick throw in and a little bust up ensued, but very little.
Dragojevic shown a yellow card after pulling Gutierrez back after the attacker made a move around him in the midfield and was ready to run at defenders.
Serbia just starting to crank up the pressure, putting Mexico under a little bit of discomfort in their defensive third. This is a team coming off a 3-0 loss to Cape Verde. They need to show a little bit of pride, and putting in the effort defensively is a good start.
Corner kick goes flying over the mass of bodies in the box and goes rolling out for a throw in.
Lucic with a rare push up the pitch and he draws a corner kick after a ball into the area was deflected out.
Non stop attack from Mexico who may be unlucky not to have a goal already.
Gutierrez gets played in behind the defense on the right side of the box, and his shot it just wide of the target and hits the outside of the netting.
Serbia not out of dangers as Quinones has a cross placed right on his head in the mix, and Stankovic made another outstandign save.
Alvarado on the right side, and he drew a defender before laying it of for Gutierrez whose shot was saved by Stankovic.
Quinones on the left side, and he takes a peek up before serving up a cross that was gathered by the keeper Stankovic.
Alvarado takes the corner but that cross is nodded up and out of danger.
Lira looking for Jimenez into the area, and that pass was perfectly weighted but poked out for a corner by Serbia.
Mexico get into the final third for the first time, but Gutierrez had his cross cut out before that ball could enter the area.
I´m not sure Serbia has strung two passes together yet. It's been Mexico knocking it around the back just trying to set the tone in this match early on.
With six clean sheets in their last seven, it's going to be Mexico are going to pick and choose their pushes up the park. They want to see a bit more attacking play tonight, and the three man trident up front should get their chances.
Mexico going with a 4-3-3, with Alvarado, Jimenez and Quinones up top. Lira, Gidalgo and Gutierrez in the middle with Sanchez, Montes, Vasquez and Gallardo in the back for El Tri. Rangel is in goal looking to keep yet another clean sheet.
