Miguel Almirón has Newcastle United in fourth place in the Premier League after 13 games this season and they aspire to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League or the Europa League next year. Last weekend the Paraguay international gave the Magpies the win over Tottenham Hotspur by adding another stunning strike to his collection.

Almirón is on top of his game

The 28-year-old has 13 appearances in the Premier League this season and he has scored seven goals. The Magpies have scored 24 goals and Miguel Almirón has contributed 29% of them and they dream of a top four finish at the end of the season. The Paraguay international has scored six goals in the last six games and Newcastle has extended to eight their undefeated streak.

Almirón is tied in second place with Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi as the South American with the most goals in Europe’s top tier. In first place in this list is Brazilian ace Neymar who tallies 10 goals in Ligue 1. The 28-year-old is in peak form and he started to showcase his talent with Argentinian side CA Lanús, where he won a title.

From there he went to Major League Soccer side Atlanta United in 2017 and one year later he helped the Five Stripes to win their first ever MLS Cup. Unfortunately, Miguel Almirón will not be participating in the upcoming FIFA World Cup, but he will be one of the players to watch during the second part of the Premier League season.
