Substitute George Ilenikhena wins it for Monaco.
Monaco played with a one-man advantage for 80 minutes but needed a break-away goal from an 18-year-old to secure the win against Barcelona. George Ilenikhena had few touches during the game but he made his chance count, firing coolly past Marc-Andre Ter Stegen to win it for the hosts.

The hosts were made to work for it but they saw the game out to begin their UCL campaign with a home win over Barcelona.

Monaco take advantage of their numerical superiority and enjoy a spell of possession in the Barcelona half. The visitors can't get the ball back, they're chasing shadows.
The free kick is 25 yards from goal, right of centre.
It's Raphinha who steps up to take it but he curls the ball harmlessly over the crossbar. A wasted opportunity for Barcelona.
Good work from Raphinha on the edge of the Monaco box, skipping past Zakaria and wining his team a free kick in a dangerous position.
Barcelona come forward again but resort to lumping a ball in towards Ferran Torres in the box. The former Manchester City man is not the same physical presence as Lewandowski and Kohn comes out to claim easily.
The corner kick comes to nothing.
The fourth official indicates six minutes of added time at the end of the second half.
As we approach the end of the 90 minutes, Monaco win a free kick midway into the Barcelona half. Golovkin tries the chip the ball into the path of Balogun but Barcelona get men across to block his route to goal.

One final change for Barcelona. Eric Balde comes off, Ansu Fati enters the fray.

On second viewing the referee is content that Martinez actually made contact with the ball before tripping Folarin Balogun. The penalty decision is reversed.

Inigo Martinez was a little clumsy but that looked harsh on the Barcelona man.

Alex Balde, now playing as a left winger, pounces on a loose ball in the midfield and tries to drive forward but he's quickly muscled out by recovering defenders.

That could have made it safe for the hosts. Barcelona were sleeping at the back and Balogun found space for a shot. The Barca keeper does well to tip it wide of the post.

Yamal, Cubarsi and Lewandowski are off. Gerard Martin, Dominguez and Ferran Torres come on.
Good ball over the top from Monaco finds Balogun running in behind. He finds himself in a good crossing position but the deliver is poor, straight into the grateful arms of Ter Stegen.

On second viewing, Martinez simply shoved the Monaco defender in frustration after the cross was cleared. An easy booking.

It looks like there was a coming together between Martinez and WIlfried Singo in the box. Not sure what happened exactly but Monaco players aren't happy about it.
Lamine Yamal is clipped on the right and wins a free kick for his team. It's clipped into the box but Monaco clear the ball well.
After a spirited performance for 60 minutes with ten men, Barcelona need to come out and take the game to Monaco now. Hansi Flick still has substitutes at his disposal, will be be tempted to bring on Ansu Fati?

A simple long ball over the top finds the Monaco substitute running through on goal and he fires confidently past Ter Stegen. Monaco retake the lead!
Another double change, with Minamino and Ben Seghir coming off. Caio Henrique and Folarin Balogun come on for the hosts.
Barcelona do well to launch a swift counter-attack but the move breaks down as Raphinha tries an overly-ambitious cross-field pass towards Kounde.
Good work from George Ilenikhena for Monaco. Holding up a long ball forward and making space for a shot with a neat touch inside.
His effort is off-target and the assistant's flag is now up, but it was promising play from the substitute.
A string of corner kicks for Monaco are well dealt with by Barcelona, keeping the hosts at bay.
Robert Lewandowski has looked increasingly isolated as this game has worn on. With Barcelona down to ten men, you wonder if they'd be better served by a more mobile option leading the line.
Good work from Pedri in the midfield to bring his team up the field and find Yamal on the right. The youngster loses the ball but Pedri flies in and wins it back.

With the addition of Golovkin at the break Monaco are now playing with five attacking players across the frontline. It's ambitious, but it's crowding the space around the Barcelona penalty box.

Barcelona spring a counter-attack with a long ball over the top to Raphinha. The Brazilian races through on goal but Monaco keeper Kohn charges out to make a perfect sliding tackle and clear the danger.
Barcelona switch the ball quickly to find Yamal on the right. He's one-on-one but Vanderson does well to stick with him, eventually winning the ball back for his team.
Good defensive work from Pedri, hassling Ben Seghir and forcing the ball out of play on the flank.
Monaco are looking to pin Barcelona back now, managing to dominate the ball in the opening stages of the second half. This is the type of control that they lost before the break.

Tonight's goal is another milestone in the incredible career of Lamine Yamal. The Barcelona sensation holds a whole host of records for his team and the Spanish national side.

There were plenty of chances for Monaco in the opening 45 minutes but Barcelona 's Lamine Yamal needed just one to level the scores.
In fact, it was even a chance. The 17-year-old muscled Vanderson off a long ball, cut inside another challenge and fired home from the edge of the box. A brilliant first UCL goal for the youngster.

Takumi Minamino take aim again from the edge of the box. Again, it's Pau Cubarsi who slides in to block the effort.
The young defender has been very good for Barcelona so far.
We're going to have two minutes of added time at Stade Louis II.
So close to a second for Monaco.
Camara curls in a deep free kick from the left, a brilliant teasing ball across the face of goal. Two Monaco player slide in but neither can reach it.
The ball bounces out for a goal kick.
Now Ben Seghir gets revenge on Kounde, skipping past the full-back and winning his team a free kick.
Good defending from Kounde to stop the progress of Ben Seghir on the flank and win his team a throw-in.
With five minutes to go there's not much to choose between the two teams. Monaco have the extra man and are enjoying more of the ball, but Barcelona's attacking talent has shown its potency in the first half.

Monaco win a free kick on the left and curl it into the middle. The ball is poked home from close range but the assistant's flag is up. The goal will not stand.

Sharp movement from Embolo makes space for a shot on goal but Cubarsi comes across to block his effort at the last second.
More good defending from Cubarsi. He may have to do a lot of that this evening.
Mix-up at the back for Monaco.
Barcelona come forward with Raphinha on the left. He whips in a low cross that causes chaos in the Monaco backline, nearly creating a golden chance for Lewandowski.
The hosts manage to scramble the ball clear.
It was completely against the run of play but that goal has clarified the job at hand for Barcelona. Sit deep, defend well, and let the attacking quality show on the break.
A long ball was punted forward towards Yamal. He muscled Vanderson off the ball and turned towards goal. Skipping past two Monaco defenders, Yamal made space for a shot and fired low past Kohn from the edge of the box.

They've been outplayed for 27 minutes but Barcelona are level thanks to a stunning solo goal from Lamine Yamal! An incredible striek from the 17-year-old.

Barcelona lose the ball again trying to play out for the back. A round of applause form the home support as Monaco prepare to mount another attack.

Monaco get forward again and swing in a dangerous cross from the right. The ball finds Ben Seghir on the far side but can't get past Kounde.

Monaco win the ball high up the field and slide a pass through to Embolo. The Swiss striker prepare himself to shoot but, out of nowhere, Cubarsi slides in and blocks him effort with a perfect tackle.
Monaco come forward again, making the most of their numerical advantage to switch the play swiftly from side to side.
Barcelona haven't got to grips with the challenge here.

The hosts lead! A swift move up the field and Akliouche does brilliantly to skip past two challenges and fire home from the edge of the box.

Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen romped to a 4-0 half time lead against Feyenoord and saw out the game with minimal fuss in the second half. No one will be eager to face Leverkusen this year.
