Rayados have taken full advantage of their games in hand and recorded a 3-1 home win over Tijuana on Wednesday night at the Estadio BBVA. The win propels Fernando Ortiz’s side up to third place in the Apertura 2023 with the side from Monterrey still having another game outstanding with the game against Santos Laguna now scheduled for 8 November.

As things stand in the table, América (30) and Tigres lead the way with Monterrey now in third place. Atlético de San Luis, Pumas and Chivas (21) complete the teams that would qualify directly to the Liguilla if the regular tournament were to end today.
