More racist insults in soccer: Avilés Hurtado at the brunt this time
Avilés Hurtado was victim to racist chants at the BBVA Bancomer vs Rayados Liga MX semifinals game in Monterrey, Mexico.
Just after Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. came out and said he thinks fans who are guilty of racist abuse should be given a lifetime ban from attending games, another instance of fans shouting racist chants occurred. It’s an all-too-common occurrence in soccer these days and this time, it was Pachuca forward Avilés Hurtado who suffered racist abuse at the hands of the fans in the stadium.

In this video, you can hear the Rayados fans making monkey sounds and shouting “pinche chango, pinche simio”, which means f**king monkey. The video could be used as evidence to enact some sort of punishment from the Disciplinary Commission. Liga MX responded to the unfortunate events requesting as much.
“The LIGA MX condemns the poor behavior in the stands of the BBVA Stadium at the end of the match @Rayados vs. @Tuzos and asks the Disciplinary Commission to take the corresponding measures based on the reports of the refereeing body and the Commissioner.”
