The Champions League round of 16 lineup is complete following the completion of the knockout phase playoffs of Wednesday (February 19). While many of the big names, including Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich progressed, others, such as Manchester City and Juventus, were eliminated.

Which teams have qualified for the 2024/25 Champions League round of 16?

Eight teams qualified directly, skipping the playoff round, by finishing in the top eight of the league phase. They are: Liverpool, Barcelona. Arsenal, Inter Milan, Atlético Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Lille, Aston Villa.

The eight remaining teams qualified via the aforementioned knockout playoffs. They are: Feyenoord, Club Brugge, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, PSV Eindhoven, PSG and Real Madrid.

When is Champions League round of 16 draw? Date, time

Although we have already have general idea of how the round of 16 will shape up, the actual pairings will be decided at the draw on Friday, February 21, which takes place at 6am ET.

The round of 16 draw will also set the bracket for the remainder of the tournament.

Ahead of the draw, the top eight teams in the league phase know they will face one of two knockout phase playoff winners in the last 16:

The first legs will be played at the home stadium of the teams listed first, who are the playoff winners.

PSG against either Liverpool or Barcelona will be one of the headline ties, with Atlético Madrid will either face Real Madrid in a city derby or Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich, scant reward for finishing in the top eight of the league phase.

Semifinals

First legs on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30. Second legs on Tuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7.

The final will be played at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany on Saturday, May 31.
