According to local media, Napoli would be interested in acquiring the services of PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas following the departure of David Ospina. The southern Italian team officially announced that Alex Meret has renewed, and would like to have a more experienced goalkeeper on hand to compensate, especially during big matches.

Keylor didn’t enjoy a particularly good season in Paris. Gianluigi Donnarumma’s arrival to the Parisian squad relegated the Costa Rican to the bench. And despite having played more league games, the Italian has been the starter in important games, such as in the Last 16 Champions League tie against Real Madrid. At least with his national team, Keylor has managed to qualify for this year’s World Cup in Qatar.

David Ospina left Napoli having reached the end of his contract, despite having been the team’s starting goalkeeper last season in the league. Meret was used in the team’s Europe League campaign - the 25-year-old is considered a future goalkeeper for the Italians, and has recently renewed until 2027.

New arrivals

Napoli are waiting to see if they can sell Koulibaly for a good fee so that they can reinforce the squad. The Neapolitans have already made official the signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Dinamo Batumi for 10 million euros, and they hope to make more signings during the summer.
