Barcelona have no intention of re-signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain...but seem to be having a tough time getting his agents, the Ligue 1 club and indeed the Brazilian superstar himself to understand that.

From almost the moment the attacker completed his world record €222 million ($244.11 million) transfer to the Parc des Princes, he began regretting his decision to leave La Blaugrana and within months was trying to orchestrate a move back to Camp Nou. However, whether it was a question of broken bridges or finances, Neymar’s pleas to his former club fell on deaf ears, which has again been the case in recent days in connection to Ousmane Dembélé's move to the French capital.

PSG attempt to offload Neymar to Barça in Dembélé deal

PSG have offered the Brazil international to Barça in a player-plus-cash deal for the France winger, as was reported by various sources over the weekend. The LaLiga champions, however, have once again dashed Neymar’s dreams of a return to Catalonia.

Why do Barcelona not want to sign Neymar?

Head coach Xavi Hernández is seemingly not interested in his former teammate, with the two playing together at Camp Nou for two seasons between 2013 and 2015. On top of that, it has been well documented that Barcelona have had to slash their wage bill, which would undoubtedly go back up considerably were Neymar to re-sign.

The 31-year-old’s future in Paris certainly seems to hanging in the balance, although PSG appear determined to find a way to ship him back to Barcelona at all costs. Some people just won’t take no for an answer.
