Nike releases new World Cup ad

The FIFA World Cup officially starts on Sunday and Nike’s new World Cup advertisement is getting us even more hyped.

The World Cup is coming up this Sunday, November 20, when we will finally get to see the world’s best soccer players compete. Even those who don’t follow soccer on a regular basis get excited about this tournament. It’s hard not to with all the hype that surrounds it. Even the advertisements get people excited.

Nike is one of the brands that has had some of the best World Cup advertisements throughout the tournament’s history. This year is no different. They just released their World Cup ad for 2022. It features soccer superstars like Kylian Mbappé, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Cristiano Ronaldo. In it, the players are transported to a seemingly different universe, to a secret lab in Switzerland in which scientists are working to find out who really is the best soccer player. The three-minute commercial flies by as more and more players show up and even some fictional characters when things go awry. Check out the full video above.

You may have noticed the absence of one big name and arguably best soccer player in the world, Lionel Messi. Easy explanation for that - he’s sponsored by Adidas, not Nike.

The 2022 Qatar World Cup kicks off this Sunday, November 20 at 5 p.m. when hosts Qatar take on Ecuador in Group A.
