“Nobody will remember Salah, anymore than I remember Messi now” if he goes to MLS
Ibrahim Hassan, sporting director of the Egyptian team facing Spain, is adamant about the destination of his star player after leaving Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah is weighing up his future after confirming that he will not stay at Liverpool next season. The 33-year-old Egypt international is currently injured and will therefore miss Tuesday’s game against Spain for his national team, but he remains very much on everyone’s mind there.
Ibrahim Hassan, the North African side’s sporting director, has openly questioned the idea of Salah moving to Major League Soccer after links to San Diego emerged.
“Personally, I’m not convinced by a move to the American league. He would be too far from the spotlight. Nobody will remember Salah, anymore than I remember Lionel Messi now. I don’t even try to watch him,” Hassan told On Sports.
Ibrahim, the twin brother of the Pharaohs’ current head coach, Hossam Hassan, believes Salah should remain in one of Europe’s top leagues.
“For me, I think Salah’s priority should be to stay in Europe. I’ve heard about offers from France or the Italian league, so my advice is that he chooses that path.”
He also pointed to Saudi Arabia as a viable alternative if European offers do not materialize.
“If he doesn’t receive European offers, it would be good for him to move to the Saudi league, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo and other world stars there. He should choose one of the biggest clubs, such as Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr and Al-Ahli. But Salah will surely know what to do: he is intelligent and always aware of every detail.”
