Orlando City set to land Luis Muriel from Atalanta

MLS clubs continue to strengthen ahead of the new 2024 season, which gets underway later this month. And another player is on the move from Europe, with Luis Muriel set to join Orlando City from Atalanta, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reports that Orlando have reached an agreement in principle to sign the experienced player. Serie A side Atalanta will reportedly receive €1 million for the deal involving the experienced Colombian centre-forward, who has already accepted the offer from the American club.

From Europe to the US

Muriel has spent the last 13 years plying his trade in Europe, with spells in both Spain and Italy. In the current Serie A campaign, the 32-year-old has made 18 league appearances, scoring two goals and registering one assist for his club. He has represented his country 45 times, scoring eight goals.
