There was nothing between Tigres and Orlando City in Tuesday’s Concacaf Champions League round of 16 first leg as it finished 0-0 at Estadio Universitario. The 16-team tournament is played in a knockout format over two legs, which means that Tigres and Orlando will meet again next week to determine the tie at Orlando City Stadium.

The second leg of the Concacaf Champions League round of 16 between Orlando City and Tigres will be played at Orlando City Stadium on Wednesday 15 March, kicking off at 8:15 p.m. ET / 5:15 p.m. PT (6:15 p.m. Central Mexico time). The second leg, like the first leg, will be broadcast live on Fox Sports.

Tigres will be without French striker André-Pierre Gignac, who won’t be travelling with the squad as he is ineligible to enter the United States for not being vaccinated against Covid-19 - he missed the 2022 MLS All-Star Game for the same reason.

Tuesday’s first leg ended 0-0. Tigres dominated for most of the match, but Orlando City responded well in defence to keep the host our. It must be remembered that away goals no longer count in the CONCACAF Champions League, so the team that wins next week’s return leg will advance to the quarter finals.

In the meantime, both clubs return to action this weekend in their respective leagues - UNAL face América in Week 11 of the Liga MX while Orlando travel Washington to take on DC United - both games on Saturday.
