Osasuna head to Seville in LaLiga next weekend.
FT at El Sadar
Osasuna 0-2 Real Madrid
We're deep into time added on.
Another error from the home side as Asensio pounces and makes no mistake.
Madrid set to finish the night five points behind FC Barcelona.
Now Asensio scores and this one counts
Scratch that.... VAR has intervened and Alvaro was alledged to be offside.... no goal.
Real Madrid switch as Rodrygo leaves for Alvaro Rodriguez. Debut for the Uruguayan U-20 international,
Kike Garcia on for Osasuna with Torro making way
Abde set to leave the pitch as Kike Barja is his replacement.
Time running out now for Osasuna as the home side start to press and as it did in the first half, tension starting to brew again.
Alaba carded for protesting.
A poor touch from Abde opens the pitch up as Modric finds Vini, the Brazilian sees the Uruguayan and Valverde prods home.
Moreno tries his luck and drives the shot just wide.
Carvajal on for Nacho (Real Madrid)
Is Ancelotti now thinking ahead to Anfield?
Vini through one on one with the keeper after the Brazilian was gifted the ball. Once again the Osasuna stopper was clever, stood his ground and made the save.
Change for Osasuna: Darko off-Oroz on
After a spell of sustained Osasuna pressure, it's now Madrid's turn to dominante as they force a series of back-to-back corners.
More subs warming up for Real Madrid.
Asensio on for Ceballos (Real Madrid)
Moncayola (who is back in his natural central position) volleys and the ball drifts inches wide.
Ruben Garcia replaced by Moreno (Osasuna)
Moi Gomez strikes the post after a rasping left foot drive ... Looks like Courtois had the ball covered
Past the hour mark as it remains goalless in Pamplona.
Still no movement on the subs bench from either coach.
Vini makes a fine run into the box and just when he looks to pull the trigger, Herrera intervenes.
Rodrygo shoots again but hits the ball straight at Herrera.
Vini moves to more central role as Alaba is pushing up more on the left channel.
Cheeky from Budimir as the Croatian international opts for a back heel which forces Courtois into action.
The second half starting to bubble now as both teams create chances.
The ball is in the net... Vini scores....
No, scratch that, the Brazilian was well offside as he picked up the pass from David Alaba.
Osasuna yet to draw at home this season in LaLiga.
Six wins and four defeats for Los Rojillos.
Interesting to see Ancelotti talk to referee Munera Montero at the interval as he feels Vini Jr. is getting a rash deal with over vigorous tackling from the home side.
Rodrygo goes so, so close ... after a quiet first half, the Brazilian almost slots home as the ball drifts inches wide.
As things stand, Barcelona (who play Cadiz tomorrow) would hold a 6 point lead over Madrid.
Osasuna start the second 45'
The sides return to the pitch for the second half
So, two clear areas of the pitch are getting to see more action with both teams using their left flanks... Madrid keen to use Vini Jr. and Osasuna too anxious to get Abde into action.
Moi Gomez and Vini Jr both booked for facing up to each other...
The whistle sounds and just before time with tension bubbling here in El Sadar.
We'll have two minutes of time added on.
Vini Jr clips Moi Gomez and is lucky to escape with no card. Things getting tense as Moncayola now clips Vini and is carded for his trouble.
Osasuna press and force Madrid to give the ball away... Budimir shoots and the ball drifts inches wide.
Great chance for the home side.
Possession: Real Madrid 56-44 Osasuna (%)
Militao clips Abde and the Moroccan wins a free for Osasuna. The Madrid man lucky not to be carded there.... danger for Madrid !
Madrid with a wonderful spell of pass and move and eventually the ball falls to Vini Jr but the Brazilian's first touch is not within keeping of the previous passage of play and the ball drifts wide for a goal kick.
Final 15 here in Pamplona and it's just the earlier effort from Vini Jr that was as close as we've come to a goal tonight
Brasanac gets through and forces Courtois to save well.... the flag was up though.
Brasanac does well and drives into the box and Camavinga lunges to drive wide for an Osasuna corner.
Budimir has been a constant source of threat for Real Madrid and proving to be a handful for Rudiger and Alaba
Past the 20' minute mark and it's been a bright and open contest with both sides enjoying spells of dominance.
Vini Jr on the left flank does look like being the area where a goal for the visiting side could come from.
Half-chance for Fede Valverde as he strikes well but slices the ball and Herrera lest the ball drift wide.
A really open game now with Osasuna enjoying their best spell of the game so far.
Budimir takes the ball off the head of Torró just as the 28-year-old was ready to nod completely free.
Moi Gomez then shoots and Courtois saves well.
Osasuna now on top.
Herrera saves Osasuna as Vini Jr steams into the box and almost prods the ball home ... Decent stop from the Osasuna stopper but Vini Jr 1-0 Moncayola so far !
Better from the home side as they work the ball well and Garcia drives the ball into the box and Valverde is alert to clear the danger.
The French player is back on his feet as Asensio warms up as a precautionary measure.
Militao fails to latch onto a Alaba free from the foul.
Torró carded as he lunges at Camavinga.
The Frenchman seems to be in some distress.
It's a massive week for Real Madrid. After a tough test tonight in Pamplona, Madrid next face Liverpool at Anfield (on Tuesday) in the first leg of the Champions League.
Next Saturday, Ancelotti's side have the small matter of the Madrid derby as they face Atleti.
Moncayola given the task of marking Vini Jr tonight and immediately, the Brazilian wins a corner.
2011 was the last time Osasuna recorded a win over 'Los Blancos'
Off we go in Pamplona. Madrid start the action.
We'll have a minute's silence pre-game to pay tribute to the victims of the Turkey/Syria earthquakes.
A fantastic atmosphere at El Sadar ....full house and the fans in fine voice tonight with the Osasuna supporters famous for generating intense noise levels.
The teams take to the pitch.
Both teams in their classic kits...
Osasuna in red/blue/red and Real Madrid in their all white

It's a fresh evening in the capital of Navarra with a temperature currently of 7C/45F but the chance of rain looks remote during the duration of Saturday's game.

A new ‘anti-racism’ measure will be deployed for the first time when Real Madrid and Vinícius Júnior face Osasuna in LaLiga tonight.
Arrasate pre-game
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Osasuna boss Arrasate was under no illusion about the complexity of the game.
They are a powerful team physically that, with the ball, can do a lot of damage. Even when they don't have the ball, they defend well and can counter you with danger. They are the Club World Cup champions; that should say it all."
"Saturday will be a tough challenge, but we are hopeful about it. Plus, playing with our fans, our goal is to get the result," he added.
Ancelotti pre-game
Speaking ahead of tonight's El Sadar clash, the Italian coach refused to be drawn on whether next Tuesday's Champions League game against Liverpool.
“The time I’ve spent working on Tuesday’s game is zero”, Ancelotti said before playing one of those typically devious cards that keeps everyone on their toes, “I dedicate 24 hours to the game tomorrow. It’s a very important game to cut down the gap to Barcelona. I’m not thinking about the lineup for Tuesday, only the one for tomorrow and they might even be the same.
Sticking with the theme of starting lineups, Ancelotti laughed when asked about his favourite XI: I’m not telling you my favourite, but I have to evaluate every game. Vinicius will come back in [after suspension] and he can be very dangerous.”
Osasuna vs Real Madrid match official
The referee for Osasuna vs Real Madrid will be José Luis Munuera Montero.
The Jaen native has been overseeing top flight games in Spain since 2016 and was promoted as FIFA official in 2019.
Osasuna XI
Arrasate names his team for tonight's LaLiga clash at El Sadar.
Budimir, Garcia and Abde lead the line as part of a 4-3-3 line-up for the side from Pamplona.
El Sadar looking amazing
The famous Pamplona stadium was renovated a few years back with the end results somewhat spectacular.
Indeed the ground was named as the ‘World Stadium of the Year 2021’ by Stadium Database, a leading publication covering stadiums and sporting infrastructure on an international level.
Real Madrid XI
Ancelotti names his side for the clash in Pamplona as Courtois starts again after missing the past four games through injury. The Belgian played no role in the recent Club World Cup win.
Vino Jr and Rodrygo are the striking outlets for Madrid tonight.
Real Madrid absentees
Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema has been ruled out through injury, while the game in Pamplona comes too soon for Lucas Vázquez and Eden Hazard. Midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni is a late casualty due to flu, while Toni Kroos is also a serious doubt due to illness. Thibaut Courtois has resumed full training, however, and should feature.
Osasuna: who's out
Bad news for us all as there is no Chimy Ávila tonight... the Argentine misses out through suspension, as does left-back Juan Cruz. Right-back Nacho Vidal and midfielder Ruben Peña are unavailable due to injury.
Live LaLiga table
Here's how the current live LaLiga table looks as Madrid need to keep in touch with FC Barcelona and Osasuna anxious to keep in contention for a sixth place and place in the 2023-24 Uefa Conference League.
Real Madrid are fresh from their Club World Cup win over Al Hilal this day last week and a solid 4-0 defeat over Elche put memories of the last LaLiga outing to one side where Ancelotti's men slipped up in Mallorca losing by a single goal.
After a great first half of the season, the wheels have come a little for the side from Navarra as Jagoba Arrasate's men have only won one if their past five games and that came in the Copa del Rey with a 1/4 final win over Sevilla which sets up a semi-final against Athletic Club.
