PSG suffered another home defeat in Ligue 1 on Sunday, losing to Lorient at the Parc des Princes.

Lorient broke the deadlock in Paris when midfielder Enzo Le Fée finished off an excellent team goal in the 15th minute.

The league leaders then went down to 10 men after right-back Achraf Hakimi was sent off for a challenge on Darlin Yongwa with just 20 minutes on the clock.

Reigning Ligue 1 champions PSG equalised through Kylian Mbappé less than 10 minutes later. The French forward stole the ball from goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo to slot the ball into an empty net.

Yongwa put the away side ahead in the 39th minute when he combined with Le Fée to make it 2-1 and Lorient led at the break against Lionel Messi and Co.

Substitute Bamba Dieng was flagged for offside when he made it 3-1 late on, but just two minutes later he found the net again and it was 3-1 this time.

Regis Le Bris’ side held onto their lead and move up to 10th in the table with the three points.

Marseille can close the gap in Ligue 1

Second-placed Marseille can close the gap at the top to five points later on Sunday when they take on Auxerre at home.

Maybe there is a title race in France.
