Piqué's family angered by Shakira’s most recent decision

The Colombian singer decided that she will go to Miami with her children at Easter, but she did not tell her ex-partner’s family.

Shakira revela el importante papel de sus hijos en sus últimas canciones

Shakira is heading out of Spain. And she has the date in her diary: April 1, coinciding with the Easter holidays of her children, Milan and Sasha, with the intention they go to school in the United States after their Easter holidays and finish this school year there.

And although both her former partner and father of her children, Gerard Piqué, and his parents, who are still neighbors of the singer, are looking forward to her moving far away, they are also angry with the Colombian star from Barranquilla because, apparently, she failed to tell Piqué's family about her plans to move to the U.S. to live.

The Colombian’s decision is motivated by the delicate state of health of her father, William Mebarak, who is very weak after a spectacular fall suffered last year. At first the singer in fact delayed her move so that her father could undergo surgery in Barcelona to try to improve his situation for the trip to Miami, however the operation was suspended on the advice of the doctors. Shakira has now decided to move with her father at the start of April to the United States and for him to undergo surgery there, where the family have been assured of incredible medical resources and cutting-edge technology.

Piqué's family believes Shakira’s decision is “outrageous”

For the ex-soccer player’s family, already angry at Shakira for not having informed them of the decision to move, the fact that the children are being moved in the middle of the school course is “outrageous”. They believe the children should finish their schooling this year in Barcelona, where they had started it.

Shakira must communicate her decision to move the children at least ten days before the trip, even with there only being two months to go before the end of the school year.
