Rodolfo Pizarro has a second chance in MLS with Inter Miami. The 29-year-old is back in the US after leaving Monterrey in December following a stint in the Expansion League. He reflected on his first spell in Miami, and admits that he did not value what he had at the time.

“There was a time when I was not happy to play, I was not appreciating what I had and I do think that was it. Leaving (Inter Miami) and then coming back made me realize a lot of things. It made me value more what this club is about and what this team is about,” the player said in an interview with TUDN.

“Now, I feel much more mature. I didn’t really enjoy my final year in my last season as much as I could,” he continued, when asked about his return to American soccer.

Pizarro said that the experience had made him reflect on why he plays soccer. “It made me value the profession, and also value the fact that we are privileged to play soccer, to do what we like, try to make life happy, happy and then play for fun, to play soccer. I think that is what has changed how I look at things”, he concluded.
