Players to watch in the in the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship final

The United States youth national team is aiming to win their third straight tournament when they play the Dominican Republic on Sunday night.

The United States youth national team and the Dominican Republic have secured their spots to the 2023 FIFA Under-20 World Cup and to the 2024 Olympic Games. The Americans are now aiming to win their third straight CONCACAF Under-20 Championship when they play the Dominicans on Sunday at Estadio Olímpico Metropolitano.

The Americans return to the Men’s Olympic Football tournament for the first time since Beijing 2008 and marking their 14th appearance in the Olympic Games. Also the United States are on the verge of winning their third CONCACAF Under-20 Championship after winning their first two trophies in 2017 and 2018.

Key players for the USYNT

Paxton Aaronson has been one of the leaders for the Americans during the tournament and he tallies five goals in six appearances. The American has been key in the knockout stages because he scored a brace in the quarter-final win against Costa Rica and tallied the opener in the semi-final victory over Honduras on Friday night.

Quinn Sullivan is another player from the United States youth national team that has been valuable on offense with six goals in six games. The American striker is the top scorer along with Marco Aceituno from Honduras and is one goal away to win the golden boot trophy.
