The Portuguese squad will be looking to avenge their 1-0 loss to Inter Milan three weeks ago at San Siro after a Romelu Lukaku late goal and defeat the Italians by at least a one-goal margin to force the extra time.
Sérgio Conceição’s men are sitting second in the Portuguese league with 57 points, eight points behind leaders Benfica and two points clear of third-placed Braga.
After losing in Milan, Porto lost to San Vicente in their domestic competition but bounced back with wins over Chaves and Estoril.
The Dragões, who will be looking to overturn their deficit on Tuesday, progressed from their two most recent last-16 ties.
Inter
Inter weren’t tipped to advance to the knockout stages of the current Champions League season, as Bayern Munich and Barcelona were seen as the main favorites to progress.
However, soccer is unpredictable and the Nerazurri defeated the Catalan giants at home and held the Blaugranes to a surprising 3-3 draw at Camp Nou, which gave them the ticket to the round of 16 together with the Bavarian side.
Inter, who have only won the first leg for the second time in their last 10 attempts at this stage of the tournament, will be looking to find a good balance between defense and offense to record a draw or a win to advance.
However, Inter have won just one of their eight matches away against Portuguese sides in UEFA competitions, losing in their last two games.
Simone Inzaghi’s pupils are chasing Serie A leaders Napoli, but there’s an 18-point gap, which leaves almost no chances for Inter to lift the trophy.

Porto have certainly many chances of putting Inter into trouble playing at home and they may find themselves in a good position to advance to the next round, but Inter has been quite solid in Europe, and in Italy, only the ‘untouchable’ Napoli have been better than them.
