Possible Barcelona starting XI vs Osasuna in LaLiga
Barça, after the resignation of Xavi, take on Osasuna in LaLiga and we take a look at how the Catalan coach could set his team up.
Barcelona suffered a 5-3 defeat to Villarreal at Montjuïc on Saturday, which led to the announcement by head coach Xavi Hernández that, against the wishes of president Joan Laporta, he would be stepping down as coach of the Blaugrana on June 30.
The Catalans return to action later today to face Osasuna in LaLiga, in a bid to get back to winning ways after their recent issues on and off the field.

Lunch at Lewandowski’s
On Monday, the players ate together at Robert Lewandowski’s home, with the feeling that a large part of the blame for Xavi’s decision was due to their dismal performances on the pitch. According to Xavi himself, his announcement relieves the team of pressure, but it is well known that the coach, even in these times, is the champion of optimism.
Laporta asked Xavi not to announce his resignation, but the former club captain decided that had no choice but to step down regardless of what happens between now and the end of the season.
In the Champions League, Barcelona will take on Serie A’s reigning champions Napoli - a match as important on an economic level as on a sporting level.
Possible Barcelona XI vs Osasuna
Xavi could name the following Barcelona side on Wednesday: Iñaki Peña; Koundé, Araújo, Cubarsí, Cancelo; De Jong, Gundogan, Pedri; Lamine Yamal, Lewandowski, Ferran.
Xavi is also aware that if he continues to lose, Laporta could make the decision to sack him before June, but by taking the pressure off the players, he now could end up getting a result against the side from Pamplona.
