Ancelotti has claimed recently that Endrick would be a starter in a forthcoming match but in Monday’s press conference was keeping his cards close to his chest in the build-up. “You will see tomorrow, but there will be rotations,” he limited himself to saying.
Lucas Vázquez will replace Carvajal with the Spanish international picking up a slight knock in the game against Espanyol and Militão will partner Rüdiger with Mendy expected to return to left-back at the expense of Fran García.
Vinicius will start after being rested at the outset for the game against Espanyol with Valverde, Tchouaméni and Bellingham set to marshall the centre of the park with Rodrygo and Vinicius on the flanks. Mbappé remains up front, getting in over Endrick.
Confirmed Real Madrid XI against Alavés
The potential XI for the Alavés clash could see: Courtois; Lucas Vázquez, Militão, Rüdiger, Mendy; Tchouaméni, Valverde, Bellingham; Rodrygo, Mbappé and Vinicius. The Real Madrid coach has called up 20 players for the match. The squad is completed by Lunin, Fran González, Modric, Vallejo, Fran García, Güler and two youth team players: the full-back David Jiménez, who makes his debut in the first team matchday squad list, and the centre-back Jacobo Ramón, a regular in the first few lists and who is returning after overcoming a thigh issue.
Real Madrid's ups and downs against Alavés
Ancelotti has five players out for the game against Alavés. Apart from the aforementioned Carvajal, Camavinga, Ceballos, Brahim and Alaba will also miss the match. The good news for Madridistas is that the Frenchman is expected to make a return at some point in the Madrid derby after being out of action for almost a month and a half due to the sprained left knee he suffered on the eve of the European Super Cup.
Dani Ceballos is also making solid progress having been out suffering with a sprained right ankle in the past month. The Utrera native has about a month left in his recovery period but has now started to train alone at Valdebebas. Brahim and Alaba will still have to wait to overcome their adductor injury and their torn cruciate ligament, respectively.
