If the USMNT beat Trinidad & Tobago, they will qualify for the 2024 Copa América in the United States next summer.

Victory for the USA over two legs would also set Gregg Berhalter’s side up to win a third straight Nations League title.

This will be the 28th meeting between the two countries, with the USMNT having a record of 20-3-4. Trinidad and Tobago finished in second place in the CONCACAF Nations League’s League B Group C.

USMNT team news ahead of Trinidad & Tobago

Gregg Berhalter has called 24 players up for the upcoming games. Key forwards Christian Pulisic and Tim Weah are both missing due to hamstring injuries. Strikers Folarin Balogun and Ricardo Pepi are set to start in attack, alongside Borussia Dortmund’s Gio Reyna.

US captain Tyler Adams will miss out as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury, meaning Real Betis target Johnny Cardoso or Lennard Maloney could get the nod in front of the back four.

Possible USA XI

Berhalter could opt for the following XI:

Turner; Dest, Ream, Richards, Robinson; Cardoso, McKennie, Musah; Pepi, Balogun, Reyna.
