PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico in serious condition after accident with horse

PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico has been admitted to the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville with a traumatic head injury after an accident with a horse on Sunday morning. His condition is serious, according to doctors at the hospital.

The player, who was on the PSG bench on Saturday for the match in Strasbourg in which the club won the Ligue 1 title, was given permission to travel and he returned to Spain.

According to health sources consulted by EFE, Rico fell off a horse in the village of El Rocío when he suffered the injury. However, people close to the player’s entourage insist that he was hit in the neck by a horse.

The player was quickly taken to the Virgen del Rocío hospital in Seville, where he has been admitted for observation while awaiting tests by medical staff.
