Puebla boss Nicolás Larcamón leaves La Franja, linked to Tigres
Puebla have announced that they have parted company with head coach Larcamón, who is now being tipped to take over from Miguel Herrera at Tigres.
Puebla confirmed on Wednesday that Nicolás Larcamón has left his position as head coach after the club endured a disappointing Apertura 2022 tournament.
Puebla thumped in playoff quarter-final exit
La Franja finished eighth in the regular-season standings, before exiting the Liga MX playoffs at the quarter-final stage after suffering an 11-2 aggregate thrashing by Club América.
Larcamón is believed to have made the decision to end his two-year tenure at Puebla. Appointed in December 2020, the Argentine led the two-time Mexican champions to the playoffs in each of their four tournaments under him.
Larcamón to take over from Herrera?
Lacarmón is now being tipped to take over at Tigres, who announced the departure of Miguel Herrera earlier on Wednesday.
According to TV Azteca reporter David Medrano, the Tigres board has identified the 38-year-old as their priority option for Herrera’s replacement.
