Pulido commits to Sporting Kansas City through to 2026
The Mexican forward extends his contract with Sporting KC through to 2026 thus dashing the hopes of many Liga MX clubs chasing the player.
Alan Pulido, Mexican forward for Sporting Kansas City, has extended his contract with the club and in doing so disappointed the likes of Chivas and Cruz Azul, with both Liga MX closely monitoring his contract situation with the MLS team. The striker will remain as a a DP (Designated Player) at Children’s Mercy Park.
The new contract deal will see the player staying with the MLS side through to the end of the 2026 season and, despite being 32 years old, the Ciudad Victoria native is rolling back the years this season and having little trouble in finding the net being joint top scorer in the league.
Pulido joined the Major League Soccer side in 2020 and in his time with SKC, he has bagged 29 goals, delivering 8 assists during his 61 games for the Kansas based team.
After injury issues hampered his 2022 campaign, the Mexican is fighting fit and is just one goal behind Nashville’s Mukhtar in the overall MLS 2023 season scoring ranking.
