Rivas strengthens Pumas’ midfield options

Pumas have confirmed the signing of midfielder Ulises Rivas, who joins after seven years at Santos Laguna. Taking to social media, the club welcomed the 26-year-old, who won two caps for Mexico Under-23s: “Blue and gold are worn with great pride. Welcome to your new home, Ulises Rivas.”

Alves absent after Brazil World Cup call

Some Pumas players have already had their second day of medical tests at the team’s training ground. However, Dani Alves will miss the team’s pre-season preparations, as it was confirmed on Monday that the 39-year-old has been included in Brazil’s final squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
