Raphinha adds spice to Argentina-Brazil clash with menacing claim
The Barcelona player spoke to Romario TV ahead of the World Cup qualifier between Argentina and Brazil at the Más Monumental stadium.
Raphinha is one of Brazil’s leading figures at the moment and is one of the star players for FC Barcelona this season as the Catalan club remain in contention to add three titles to their Spanish Super Cup.
The Brazilian has stirred up the atmosphere ahead of this week’s Superclásico as the Seleçao face Argentina at the Más Monumental in Buenos Aires with a series of choice statements about world champions.
Speaking on RomárioTV, the Barça winger claimed that he is adamant that he will score a goal in the Superclásico.
“I’m going to score a goal, screw them. No matter what,” Raphinha assured. “Beat them like crazy! No doubt about it! Beat them like crazy! On the pitch and off the pitch if necessary!”
In response to these words, Romário praised his compatriot’s attitude and added: “I like it”.
