The Barcelona player was livid after his side was knocked out of the Champions League by Atlético Madrid.

Update:

Barcelona beat Atlético Madrid 2-1 at the Metropolitano in the Champions League quarter-final second leg, but were eliminated 3-2 on aggregate, and Raphinha ensured the night ended in controversy. As he left the pitch, the Brazilian forward made repeated gestures toward the home crowd, signaling that Atlético would be knocked out in the next round.

The reaction from the stands was immediate, with Atleti supporters responding angrily to what was widely seen as a provocative moment after a tense, high-stakes tie. Emotions were already running high following a dramatic finish, and Raphinha’s actions only added to the friction between players and fans at full time.

Speaking after the game, Raphinha also fired off strong criticism of the officiating. “I truly want to understand why these referees are afraid of Barcelona winning. Making mistakes is human, but the same thing in the second match as well? These games were not fair. We were robbed,” he said. Barcelona had players sent off in both games, Cubarsí in the first and Eric García in the second. Raphinha also complained about what he felt was leniency towards the Atlético players.
