Raúl Jiménez returned to Fulham’s starting eleven on Sunday after missing three matches through suspension.

The Mexican forward made it 1-1 in the 29th minute with a fine finish at the back post after Bukayo Saka gave the away side the lead with just five minutes on the clock.

Tom Cairney assisted Jiménez to score on his return to the side before Bobby Decordova-Reid converted the winning goal in the 59th minute to make it 2-1 to Fulham.

Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha played his part in the victory over the Gunners, helping the Craven Cottage outfit win the midfield battle in the final Premier League game of 2023.

Fulham return to winning ways

With defeat to West Ham on Thursday, Arsenal have now missed another opportunity to keep the pressure on the other title contenders at the top of the table. Mikel Arteta’s side are fourth in the standings after today’s result.

After three defeats in a row, Marco Silva’s side return to winning ways, with Jiménez demonstrating how key he is for the London club.
