The seemingly endless nightmare of travelling across the US has not ended for Monterrey. The Pandilla have to pack their bags once again and fly to Philadelphia for the game to determine third place in the Leagues Cup. They will face the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park on Sunday.

The 0-2 defeat to Nashville has left Fernando Ortiz and his pupils without any chance of lifting the trophy, so the game against Philadelphia becomes inconsequential for the royal team. Even more so because Rayados has already qualified for the 2024 Concacaf Champions League.

An extra 1,000 kilometres

The 1,086 kilometres that separate Nashville and Philadelphia will be one more part of Monterrey’s adventure across the United States. Monterrey is the team with the most kilometres covered in the Leagues Cup - in fact they have not stayed more than two nights in any city in the North American country.

As if that were not enough, after the match against the Union at Subaru Park they will have to take the flight back home, which means another 3,247 km added to the already 10,000+ km during the tournament.
