Real Betis ready to sell Lainez as Braga prepare to end loan

With Portuguese club Braga reportedly about to send Diego Lainez back to Real Betis, the Spaniards are ready to listen to offers for the Mexican winger.

Update:
With Portuguese club Braga reportedly about to send Diego Lainez back to Real Betis, the Spaniards are ready to listen to offers for the Mexican winger.

Diego Lainez has not had a good time since he left Club América. What should have been a dream come true for the young Mexican has gradually turned into a nightmare.

Betis prepare to find buyer for Lainez

According to the media outlet Onda Bética, Real Betis are ready to sell the 22-year-old winger if they receive an offer of at least €7 million ($7.5 million). Los Verdiblancos would also seek a percentage of a future sale.

Unhappy spell in Europe

Since joining Betis for €14 million in January 2019, Lainez has struggled to establish himself at the LaLiga club.

He was loaned out to Portuguese side Braga in the summer, but has managed just six Primeira Liga appearances this term - and Os Arcebispos have reportedly opted to cut short his season-long stay and send him back to Betis this month.

Tigres director Antonio Sancho has confirmed the Liga MX club’s interest in taking Lainez back to Mexico, while offers are also expected from clubs in Europe and MLS.
