Real Madrid vs Chelsea predicted line-ups

Ancelotti’s Madrid go into the match well on top, after Benzema’s hat-trick saw them run out 1-3 winners at Stamford Bridge. A result so devastating for Chelsea their coach Tuchel claimed the tie is already over.

Real Madrid can put out almost the same side that ran out winners in London, with just Militao out, having picked up a booking in the first leg. That means Nacho will start in the centre of defense alongside Alaba.

In addition to Militao, Ancelotti has three players out. Hazard continues to recover from an operation to remove a metal plate he had inserted in his ankle. Isco has been missing from training with a sore throat, and Vallejo tested positive for Covid-19.

Rafa Marín has been called into the squad from Real Madrid Castilla, the B team.

Possible Real Madrid XI

Courtois; Carvajal, Nacho, Alaba, Mendy; Modric, Casemiro, Kroos; Valverde, Benzema and Vinicius.

On the bench for the five possible substitutions (which would be six if the match goes to extra-time) will be:

Lunin, Fuidias, Rafa Marín, Marcelo, Camavinga, Ceballos, Lucas Vázquez, Asensio, Rodrygo, Bale, Jovic and Mariano.

Possible Chelsea XI

Tuchel will switch things around in the Chelsea side compared to last week’s first leg.

Mendy; Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva; Reece James, Kanté, Kovacic, Marcos Alonso; Pulisic, Havertz and Mount.

The Chelsea bench will be made up of: Kepa, Bettinelli, Christensen, Chalobah, Sarr, Loftus-Cheek, Saúl; Ziyech and Werner.

Ross Barkley, Hudson-Odoi, Chilwell and Lukaku are out for the English side
