Real Madrid lose Mbappé for this strange medical reason
Madrid have published their squad list, and it does not include Mbappé.

Mbappé will not be in San Sebastián for the Copa del Rey game against Real Sociedad. Ancelotti misspoke at yesterday’s press conference when he emphatically stated, “He will travel,” causing a brief shock. However, Mbappé has not recovered in time—he recently underwent dental surgery and is still experiencing significant pain.
His availability for the match against Betis is not in doubt, nor is his participation in the Champions League game against Atlético Madrid, but he will indeed miss the Copa match. The club has communicated that he had a rough night, struggling to rest, and after assessing the situation, Ancelotti agreed that he would not travel. He has been granted rest, meaning he will not face Real Sociedad.
Valverde will also be absent. Although he trained yesterday, there is still some risk. He has been dealing with discomfort in his left thigh for some time and even had to play with an injection in the second leg against Manchester City. While it’s nothing serious, he does need rest.
He was given a break against Girona and will sit out again tonight, skipping the trip to the Reale Arena. This will allow the Uruguayan a full week to recover and be at 100% for the Champions League. It’s not ideal, but it’s necessary.
