Ancelotti was appointed by the Premier League outfit in 2019.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is suing Everton in London’s high court, report The Athletic.
Having been appointed by the Premier League outfit in December 2019, Ancelotti spent 18 months at Goodison Park before returning to Madrid to enjoy more success at the Bernabéu.
Ancelotti’s claim relates to “general commercial contracts and arrangements”, however, no further details of the claim were given.
The Italian’s legal team have yet to comment, while Everton, who will play Premier League football next season, have not responded to questions.
Everton struggle after Ancelotti’s departure
Ancelotti guided Everton to 12th and 10th place finishes during his time in charge of the club.
Everton have struggled since he left the Liverpool-based side, with the development coming at the worst possible time as the Premier League club are in the midst of a potential sale amid financial problems.
