Real Madrid players react to Karim Benzema’s brilliant debut
The Frenchman made his Al-Ittihad debut, scoring a goal and getting an assist. Vinícius and Tchouaméni have reacted to the striker’s performance.
Karim Benzema made his official debut with his new team, Al-Ittihad, in the first match of the Arab Club Championship on Thursday. Former Chelsea man N’Golo Kanté also made his debut for the Saudi outfit.
Real Madrid stars react
The Saudi side won 2-1 thanks to Benzema’s wondergoal that turned the game around, but before that, he provided an assist to Abderrazak Hamdallah for the equalizer.
After the match, the Frenchman uploaded a post on Instagram, celebrating his team’s victory and his former team-mates were quick to react.
Vinícius replied by saying he was the best. Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni replied saying that he is a ‘different’ player. Defenders David Alaba and Marcelo also commented on their former team-mate’s display.
Benzema oozes class
Benzema showed in the first match with Al-Ittihad that he still possesses the class that made him a legend at Madrid. His former team-mates took it upon themselves to show that they have not forgotten the Frenchman and, despite his departure, they continue to recognize his quality.
