Real Madrid release orange away jersey: where can I buy it in the US and how much does it cost?

Real Madrid have released their away kit for the upcoming 2024-25 season and for the campaign they have decided to once again go for the colour orange.

It is a design choice that was worn during the 2013-14 campaign, a year in which Los Blancos won the La Décima in Lisbon, beating Atlético de Madrid late on with a famous Sergio Ramos header. As such, this season, players like Mbappé, Bellingham and Vinicius will wear a colour that undoubtedly brings back good memories for the Madridista crowd in the stands.

Where can I buy the orange Real Madrid shirt? How much does it cost?

The new Real Madrid away shirt can be purchased directly from the official Real Madrid store. There are two versions of the shirt: the ‘normal’ version and the ‘authentic’ version. In terms of visuals, not much differs at first glance, although upon closer inspection, the authentic version, which is worn by the players, features different materials that make the garment lighter.

Prices start at $125 for the standard, short-sleeved adult shirt, and go right up to $200 for a long-sleeved authentic version. Adding a name and number onto the back costs $25, and you can choose either your favourite player or go personal and have your own name. Sleeve patches come in packs - UCL or LaLiga - and cost $25.

Adidas, the sports brand that designs the Real Madrid jerseys, have put together the garment which features an abstract and astral graphic that appears on the front. As well as the striking colour, the shirt also has plenty of smaller details such as the blue on the collar, the enlarged brand logo, the monochrome badge, sponsors and the three characteristic stripes on the shoulders.

The club, in a statement, said that the jersey “takes its inspiration from the stars that appear in the sky on the nights outside the Santiago Bernabéu. Created with the idea that no matter where the team is playing, madridistas are always joined together by the stars in the sky.” The official Real Madrid online store goes even further, explaining that the kit has been “designed to conquer the field, dominate the stands and stroll the streets”, while adding that “Real Madrid ‘s new second kit keeps you comfortable in style, with classic tricolor stripes and an infinity graphic print that symbolizes the boundless love fans have for their players.”
