Real Madrid confirmed starting lineup against Real Betis in LaLiga today
Jude Bellingham is still out due to injury, and first-choice duo Dani Carvajal and Rodrygo have returned to the XI.
Real Madrid will field their strongest possible starting lineup in Sunday’s home game against Real Betis (kickoff at 3:30pm ET) at the Santiago Bernabéu, with Carlo Ancelotti stating he will start rotating his roster more often after the upcoming international break.
Lucas Vázquez and Brahim Díaz both started in Thursday’s draw in Las Palmas, although Dani Carvajal and Rodrygo are set to return to the starting XI after the team struggled without them on the right flank.
Bellingham still out for Real Madrid, Güler could start
With Jude Bellingham still sidelined by a leg injury, there is one place up for grabs in midfield alongside Aurélien Tchouaméni and Fede Valverde. Luka Modric made a relatively rare start in the Canary Islands in midweek, and now Dani Ceballos starts, which is a huge surprise.
The midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Real Betis as the transfer window came to a close, and his inclusion in the XI is a curveball from Madrid’s Italian coach.
Strong lineup to face Betis
Thibaut Courtois will start in goal, with Eder Militão, Antonio Rüdiger and Ferland Mendy joining Carvajal in the back four. Rodrygo will line up in attack alongside Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé, who will be looking for his first LaLiga goal in his fourth appearance.
Los Blancos dropped four points in their opening three fixtures and are already seven points behind leaders Barcelona, who have played a game more. Winning is the order of the day, although winning convincingly would provide a much-needed confidence boost.
