Gerard Piqué could be one of the protagonists of the match against Real Madrid in Las Vegas. As AS has learned, the central defender is being given permission to play on Saturday evening on the west coast, although he will not be able to feature for the full game.

Barça ready Piqué for Madrid clash

Piqué's time on the pitch in front of US fans is expected to only be for a few minutes, with Piqué returning after a left adductor muscle injury that has dogged him for almost three months. This discomfort prevented him from helping the team in the final stretch of the season.

We have been told that Piqué's motivation to play in these pre-season games is high, so the doctors, after agreeing with the coaching staff, have decided to give the green light for his participation. In fact, he completed Friday’s afternoon training session in good shape, although obviously he is not yet ready to play the full 90 minutes.

No Ferran, but eyes on Lewandowski

A player that will have to wait a little longer is Ferran Torres. The Spanish international, who is nearing the end of his recovery period for a foot injury, has not yet made a pre-season appearance, was injured on the first day of the summer training. Ferran has been training with the group for several days now, so he is expected to be available for the upcoming match against Juventus in Dallas.

The rest of the players in the squad will be at the disposal of manager Xavi Hernández. There is no doubt that one of the great attractions of the match in Las Vegas will be seeing Polish striker Robert Lewandowski dressed for the first time in the Blaugrana kit.
