The game transcends the definition of a common sports rivalry because it’s not only about sport. El Clásico is a political and historical rivalry as well. It’s about different lifestyles, different languages and different cultures and has had its share of controversial events over the years. The first El Clásico this season takes place in Spain’s capital so Real Madrid will have the advantage of playing at home in front of its loyal fans. The atmosphere in and around the stadium will be electric and for diehard soccer fans it’s a dream come true to watch these two teams battle.
