Many professional soccer players choose to invest part of their substantial salaries into companies to keep their money working and generating more, and Kylian Mbappé is no exception. The French star, currently with Real Madrid, has become an investor in Loewe Technology, a German company renowned for its high-end smart TVs, for which he had already served as an ambassador and brand representative.

Through his investment vehicle, Coalition Capital, Mbappé has acquired 10% of the shares in the German firm. While the exact amount of Mbappé’s investment hasn’t been disclosed, Loewe representatives have stated that the move will help expand the brand and boost its market value.

Loewe and Mbappé, a mutually beneficial partnership

One of Loewe’s executives, Aslan Khabliev, confirmed that the goal is to increase Loewe’s current annual revenue from 60 million euros to 300 million euros, as reported by Bloomberg. “Ideally, we aim for Loewe’s valuation to grow to around 500 million euros in the next five years,” Khabliev said. He also noted that they hope Mbappé’s involvement will bring similar benefits to Loewe as Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer’s association with the sportswear brand On has done.

A few months ago, Mbappé worked with with Loewe on the development of a speaker, which turned out to be a great success. “Kylian has helped us tremendously with a Bluetooth speaker we developed with his input,” Khabliev added, referring to the product that also involved input from Mbappé’s teammates with the French national team.
