Yunus Musah recovered from his groin injury and returned to action last weekend in Valencia’s 2-1 win over Osasuna at El Sadar stadium. The United States international came in as a substitute in the 62nd replacing Hugo Guillamón and received a booking during his time on the pitch.

The 19-year-old has become a key player since Gennaro Gattuso took over the managerial job and so far this campaign he has made six appearances, five of them as a starter. Musah has also provided two assists, and he keeps improving since arriving at Valencia in 2020.

Valencia is reportedly working on a new contract for the US men’s national team ace that would raise his salary and his release clause as well. The La Liga side feels that his current release clause is too low with Arsenal, Juventus and Liverpool closely monitoring his situation.

Musah’s current contract with Valencia expires on June 30, 2026, and his current market value is $27.5 million. According to transfermarkt, the he is the fifth most expensive American player behind Christian Pulisic, Gio Reyna, Brenden Aaronson and Weston McKennie.
