Reports say Mbappé confirmed at official dinner he has not signed anything with Real Madrid
The PSG forward met with both the Emir of Qatar and the French President and confirmed that he has not signed a deal with Real Madrid.
Kylian Mbappé's future has, once again, reached the highest levels of society. On Tuesday, the President of France held a dinner at the Elysée Palace along with The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani... and the PSG forward.
The Emir even had a word with the captain of the French national team and wished him “good luck”, a message understood as a farewell after having assumed that he will leave PSG at the end of the season.
According to RMC Sport in France, those present at the dinner confirmed that the striker, when asked about his future, acknowledged that he has not signed with Real Madrid.
His next destination was one of the hot topics of the dinner, but Mbappé did not give any clues about the next step in his career, although everything indicates that he will be a Los Blancos player after the end of the current season.
Neither Qatar nor Emmanuel Macron, who jokingly told Mbappé that he was “going to create more problems for him,” insisted on trying to change his mind. The decision has been taken: it is irrevocable and there is no turning back: he will leave PSG at the end of the season.
This is contrary to what happened in 2022, when the President interfered in the negotiations to renew him and persuaded him to stay in the French capital; the context is quite different now, as the French star has already told his club that he does not want to renew.
Mbappé to Madrid?
Macron’s invitation to Mbappé had nothing to do with the future of the forward, it was a mere formality to discuss other issues, including the upcoming Olympic Games, where he could be one of the main flag bearers of France and the French national team, which aspires to gold.
Earlier, he had met with Al Thani to discuss various aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, so it was not the day, nor the week or the time, to put the future of the French player on the table. The only question is where he will end up...
