Ronaldinho a special guest for Querétaro fans’ return against Juárez
A year after the troubles, the Brazilian legend will return to La Corregidora, the stadium that was his home for a short period of time.
A year has passed since the awful scenes that took place in the game between Querétaro vs Atlas, where both sets of fans were involved in a massive brawl. Liga MX sanctioned the club with La Corregidora having to be without supporters in its stands ever since, but that stadium ban has now passed and the fans will return for the game against FC Juárez this coming weekend.
Ronaldinho calls for peace
The Government of Querétaro confirmed that Brazil legend Ronaldinho will be at the encounter, as a special guest. The former Barça player was with the Gallos Blancos for two campaigns, in the 2014 Apertura and in the 2015 Clausura, which included him playing in a final, however, he lost that against Santos.
Ronaldinho issued a message ahead of his return to Querétaro calling for calm.
“Greetings to everyone in Querétaro. On 19 March I will be at the Corregidora Stadium to enjoy the game with you and where we all want peace and for all the beautiful things in football return.”
