Liverpool won the FA Cup Final against Chelsea on penalties as the game ended without a score. Unfortunately for the Reds, their star player Mohamed Salah went limping off the field at 30 minutes with a groin injury.

Liverpool has to make a quick turnaround as they play Southampton on Tuesday, May 17 and Wolves the following Sunday, May 22. Then it’s Champions League Final time. Liverpool plays Real Madrid in the final, which takes place on May 28 in Paris.

With the Champions League coming up so soon, the Salah injury is of some concern, especially considering he left the 2018 final against Real Madrid with an injury and is really looking forward to the do-over.

According to Salah himself though, there’s no reason to worry. At least he didn’t seem to think so, walking into the locker room with a big smile when a reporter asked if he was okay for the final and he replied, “of course!“

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp also said both Salah and Virgil Van Dijk, who was also subbed out of the game, are doing just fine. With the quick turnaround for Southhampton, though, their playing time is questionable. But for the Champions League, they should both be ready.

“I think they will both be fine, but not...maybe...we have training [Sunday] morning, so if they tell me, ‘I’m completely fine’, I will be surprised, but I will take it and then we have to go from there. So we will see,” said Klopp.
