Santi Giménez writes another chapter in the Feyenoord record books
The Mexican forward has now bagged 12 goals in the Dutch Eredivisie this season and has found the net in his past seven outings.
Santiago Giménez is one of the most prolific goal scorers in Europe currently. Today, the Mexican striker bagged both goals as Feyenoord won away (0-2) at PEC Zwolle and the Rotterdam side remain fourth in the Eredivisie table.
Giménez opened the scoring in the 21st minute by taking advantage of an error by the Zwolle and doubled the lead for the current Dutch champions in minute 54 as he drilled home an unstoppable left footed effort.

With his 12 goals in the season to date, Gimenez becomes the first Feyenoord player ever with more than 12 goals after 8 Eredivisie matches as the former Cruz Azul striker eclipses the likes of Cor van der Gijp (11 in 1960-1961) and Ove Kindvall (11 in 1967-1968).
Having played eight games this season for Feyenoord, the 22-year-old is on a ratio of 1.68 goals per game and leads the way at the top of the Eredivisie top scorer charts with AZ’s Pavlidis on ten strikes.
